Ray Rice, Baltimore Ravens RB
Let the debate between Baltimore Ravens RB Ray Rice and Houston Texans RB Arian Foster begin. Both RB posses the ability to get into the end zone on the ground as well as through the air, both can bang out 1,100+ yards on the ground and both, if healthy, could eventually hold up the Fantasy Football Player of Year trophy for 2012.
Now, if I could nick-pick for a second. The reason why, currently, I have Rice as my No.1 RB is because in the background of the Texans RB situation is a guy by the name of Ben Tate. In the second-half (WK9-17) of 2011 Tate averaged 9.75 carries per game for the Texans. That bothers me. If HC Gary Kubiak comes out during the pre-season and defines the rolls of his RB situation, there is a chance Foster could slide into that No.1 spot. Until that happens though, Rice, even with his contract problems, remains No.1.
