I like all the position battles information. I am one of the few people in my league of friends that is hardcore into scrounging for information on new players, so knowing to have my eyes targeted on if I hear position players aren’t doing well is always key. Although I am always interested in soon to be called up players and good keepers from lower rounds.
But I like the podcast, listen to it while doing housework to make the day go faster. Although it does slow me down whenever you make a good point I didn’t know about and I have to write it down.
One quick question though. What do you think about trading draft picks to get a better player who will not drop to you? Here’s the basis for my question. I am in a 14 team keeper league where we get to keep 6 keepers a year (only 2 from first 8 rounds of previous year) and an owner neglected to put Ryan Braun in his 2 top keepers because he thought he would be suspended. I have the 4th pick and have always wanted Braun on my team since I picked him up as a rookie, and I’m a huge Brewers fan. If I don’t do anything I’ll most likely end up with Granderson or Stanton. Do you think a 5th would do it? I could also trade him one of my keepers (Beckett, Berkman, Uggla are the only relevant ones). Or do I just stay put? Thoughts?
Generally,when making multiple player deals,the key is to get THE BEST PLAYER..Getting Braun in this deal is a coup!!I really appreciate your participation I wil do my next Podcast as I vacuum!! LOl
Hey Lenny… used to catch your podcast a couple years ago when you first came back. Glad to see you’re still at it. I’m buddies with Mike Kuchera “The Fantasy Man”. Hope all is going well with the website. Are you still doing Tout Wars? If so, which league? I am very much into player valuation and projections this year. I am focusing my strategies around which players are truely elite at their position and going all out for a few studs then filling in with safe players. I think people ignore replacement level players too much and lend too much value to guys like Carlos Lee and Howie Kendrick. What do you think. Catch you later.
